Could the levee break?

adminOctober 1, 2022October 1, 2022

With roads closed and rescue efforts underway, key links in an already diminished infrastructure are taking a beating as citizens move road signs and drive through flooded neighborhoods. One key link is this bridge near Cranberry just North of the Kia Dealership on Hillsborough Blvd.

If people continue to drive on these types of roads, they will fail and bring havoc to the people on the other side. All of the canals on the other side of Coco Plum end with pressure building on these southern banks. With the current ground saturation, increased load on these weakened structures could prove to be their downfall.
