“32 Years of business gone. We are in total shock. Three of my four boys were working for us to help carry this business into a third generation and possibly a fourth with seven grandsons ages six and under. We are numb and just trying to navigate what to do next. We have reached out to insurance, and they said it’s a long wait and to just document everything with photos. I think we will be in need of a crane operator, as some of the cars that were put inside the building may be salvageable, if anyone has a resource for this please let me know. In addition, our home in North Port is threatened by flood waters and we had a mandatory evacuation, so there are many challenges ahead. We are very grateful to our customers and the Englewood community for all the years we have been of service, and we pray that our whole community heals from this horrific event soon. We are hoping to rebuild A-1 Collision & Glass of Englewood.

Many businesses have been destroyed from Hurricane Ian. Small business owners in Southwest Florida are now tasked with picking up the pieces and rebuilding. When will they be able to? Only time will tell.
